Information
The aloe used in these preparations is a blend of high quality aloe vera which is grown using organic farming methods. The product is finished in the UK and trade marked
topro-aloe™
Weed prevention in the aloe fields is achieved by using small grazing animals - goats.
The plantation grows its own cereals, beans, fruit and vegetables, again under organic conditions and these crops sustain the plantation owner, workers and their families and of course the animals.
The fertilizer that is used to improve growth, comes from manure collected from the goat sheds mixed with their milk and any of the natural waste from the harvesting.
Periodically, the excess left over from the production of the aloe i.e. the spines, tips and bottoms of the plant, is fine chopped and sprayed back onto the land.
There is no waste from the aloe production. The workers are paid ‘fair wages’ and offered accommodation close to the production plant.
The aloe vera carries a Quality Assurance International Certification confirming the organic production conforms to the International standard.
The aloe is also approved by the International Aloe Science Council.
Each batch of aloe vera is tested for both purity and molecular activity, without which the finished aloe product is impotent. Careful carbon filtering ensures that the undesired ‘aloin’ is removed to less than 5 parts per million. This amount supports the synergism of the plants inherent properties but does not promote a laxative effect when consumed.
All the products are tried and tested before sale and carry both batch analysis reports and safety data sheets.
In the UK we continue with our analysis on finished products through to their expiry date.
It is our policy to continue with the research and product development in pursuit of the highest quality aloe vera available supported by supplementary ingredients which are of a similar standard and can be tracked back to source. We favour, above all others, ingredients which are produced in an organic environment and can be tracked back to source using standard means and supported by local or international certification.
